Bollywood has seen a lot of superstars over the years, but how to celebrate them, that is something I have seen and learnt from the South audience. They treat their superstars as Gods and their releases are celebrated like festivals. In Tamil Nadu, a Rajinikanth release is nothing less than a National holiday, and recently I saw something similar as one of the most renowned name from the Kannada industry, Rocking Star Yash, gears up for his next release.
Yash became a pan-Indian star after the release of his film, K.G.F: Chapter 1 that became a global phenomenon in 2018. His portrayal of a high-ranking assassin who becomes a messiah for the slaves working in the mines of KGF, found a connection with the audience, and the film eventually became a cult classic. The actor is now ready to present the second part of the K.G.F series with K.G.F: Chapter 2, releasing on April 14. But even before the film has hit the theatres, his fans are already celebrating him. Recently, a video surfaced online from Mysore in which fans are seen pouring milk on a huge cutout of Yash’s character from the series.
