Yesterday, we witnessed the biggest wedding of the year with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt taking the plunge. And seeing these two as husband and wife left me quite overwhelmed. While I still cannot believe that the wedding has happened, lots have wishes have been pouring in for the newly married couple. Family and friends, all have been wishing them a lifetime of happiness, but the best wish so far has been from Alia’s mother Soni Razdan.

They say you lose a daughter when you gain a son. I say we gain a wonderful son, a lovely warm family and my darling beautiful baby girl is right here with us always. Ranbir and Alia here’s wishing you so much love, light, and happiness in your journey together. Your loving Maa.

Alia and Ranbir exchanged wows in an intimate ceremony yesterday, in the presence of family and close friends. The ceremony happened at Ranbir’s house in Bandra.
Other than Soni Razdan, Alia’s mentor Karan Johar also posted a heartfelt note calling Ranbir his son-in-law.
