I was completely mesmerised by Ranveer Singh’s power to immerse himself in any character that he is playing as soon as I saw the trailer of Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Coming from the character of Kapil Dev in ’83 to this common man from Gujarat, the actor’s transition has been so effortless. While the trailer had me in awe of him, the first song from it, Firecracker, had me grooving with him. And now the latest song Jordaar highlights the new form of heroism that Jayeshbhai exhibits and I am loving it.
Check out the song here:
The song sees Jayeshbhai struggle between being a dutiful son and a loving husband as he sets on a run to save his unborn kid. Jordaar has such a fun vibe as it highlights the comical situations that arise in Jayeshbhai’s day-to-day life, like the moment where he tries to be romantic with his wife while his parents come knocking on the door or where he tries to control his bladder due to the fear of his father.
The lyrics define Jayeshbhai and his simplicity while depicting how even without any typical hero characteristics, he is the unlikely yet ‘Jordaar’ hero of his story. While the trailer and Firecracker gave a glimpse of Jayeshbhai and his world, this song gives a deeper insight into his daily struggles and it has made me love him and root for him even more.
